Training Objectives

The Certificates of Advanced Veterinary Studies / Inter-School Diploma (CAVS/ISD) are third-cycle specialized degree programs, open to candidates holding a degree in veterinary medicine, agronomy, agri-food sciences, or other equivalent qualifications.

ENSV-FVI delivers the CAVS/ISD in Veterinary Public Health on behalf of the four veterinary schools in France. Its objective is to train high-level professionals involved in managing health risks related to the interactions between humans, animals, and the environment, throughout the entire food chain.

Equivalent to 60 European credits (ECTS), or approximately one year of full-time study, the program may also be completed over two or three years. Courses are open both to French participants and to French-speaking international participants.

It is also possible to enroll as a non-degree student in specific modules of the Veterinary Public Health Inspector training program (more information available in the ISPV program description).
