Training Overview

(online Training for Veterinary Advancement and Innovative Networking)

The ENSV-FVI, an WOAH Collaborating Centre since 2004 for the training of official veterinarians, will offer, from the end of 2026, a new distance-learning training programme, e-TRAIN (Training for Veterinary Advancement and Innovative Networking). This programme builds on the experience of the e-CERISE programme (2018–2025, online Continuing Education for veteRInary Services), while incorporating more flexible and collaborative formats.

Operational arrangements: 3-month cycles (1 technical topic per cycle), with the possibility of a one-week study visit (subject to funding).

Key objectives of the programme:

  • Train veterinary professionals through modular learning pathways aligned with the 16 WOAH Competency Packages (e.g. quality and management of Veterinary Services, emergency management, animal welfare, One Health).
  • Combine theoretical and practical learning through interactive webinars, individual projects and paired case studies (e.g. emerging diseases, health crises).

A certificate of participation is issued if the learner completes and submits the required deliverables (non-degree training).
